Blackwood Trail Racing exists for people who look at a perfectly good trail and think, "This would be better if it were longer, steeper, darker, and somehow involved more poor decisions."

We create trail races that prioritize adventure over convenience, challenge over participation trophies, and memorable experiences over perfectly curated Instagram moments. Our courses are designed to showcase the best trails Michigan has to offer, whether that means rolling singletrack, endless roots, unexpected water crossings, or the occasional existential crisis at mile 40.

From first-time trail runners to seasoned ultrarunners, everyone is welcome at the starting line. What happens after the gun goes off is between you, the trail, and whatever questionable life choices brought you here.
